90 days and you (should) have your paperwork back...but who knows these days
Yeah, it's been all over the place. I guess it really depends on which examiner you get.

yea, from what I hear Barbara Payne is the one to have. But please dear god dont give me shipman. Anyways, I sent in the form 4 last week so after i get my SBR stamp about a month later I should have the suppressor stamp. Also, ordered a bulgarian Krinkov 5.45 kit and a nodak receiver I plan on having built into an SBR Krink. Should be fun

I got my form 4 back 80 days, sent it in 10/2/08 got it back 3rd wk of December. It was my 1st one. Im going to send in a SBR form next so hopefully it will take a little less time now that I am in the system.
I am waiting on a shipment of 223 from Georgia Arms - should come in the next week or 2 then I want to go out to Pop Deans again. I was just out there on the Jan 4th shoot and I took my little boy 12yr old bought him a lefty Stag AR15 for Christmas so he got to break in his and I got to shoot up about 700 rds withe the 614.
Give me a PM and Ill let you know when and my email address.

still no form 1 back yet. Tho I did get to fondle my AAC m4-1000 suppressor when I went by my dealer to pick up my ak receiver. That thing is sweet, I never realized how light and compact they are. I've only handled a 9mm subgun suppressor before on an uzi and it was huge.
Have you called to check on any status of this application?

no, why bother? Its not gonna come any faster if I do. Plus from what I read, people who mailed their forms around the time I did are starting to get them back.

They may have lost it
My first two stamps (SBR F1 and suppressor F4 at the same time), I didn't call for 2 months after the checks were cashed. I sort of felt that I would be put on a "let's phuck with him" list if I called. With an up and coming Pop's range shoot around the corner and my SBR barrel gathering dust at Guntech, I really wanted to know what time frame I had, so I broke down and called. They told me they both were approved just days earlier. Within a day I had the F1 for the SBR but for whatever reason, Vito at OTB did not get my F4 stamp until nearly 4 weeks later. I was panicking thinking the stamp was lost in the mail.
Since then, I track from the day the check is cashed and then call 2 months from that point. I've had responses from the app is pending or approved to not even been logged in the system. When I questioned if there was a problem with that particular app and was told that it was probably that agent's workload, it was miraculously processed and approved within a week. Don't be afraid to call. The number is actually programmed in my cell phone now. 304-616-4500

lol, having the ATF on speed dial.
I also just sent in another form 1 because my UPS guy dropped off a package with a minty, unissed, matching ser #'s AK-74SU kit.
I also have a colt factory SBR on order that is currently transfering on a f3 to my dealer. So I guess in a way I get approx one form per month! its like christmas once a month for me!
I heard about ATF and the check thefts but I believe that was sometime around Oct/Nov but mine were sent in well after that. I am going to call them today just to see the status.
