XD9's are about $500 at Guntech. They will be open tomorrow and then closed for the holidays. If you have a CWL, you should be good to go.

EDIT:

Whoops, I didn't see the little "m" there. I know the XDM 9 is more $$$. Maybe Cris remembers how much.

I wouldn't buy any firearm at a gun show, especially the show at the War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale. Crazy prices and the dealers are insane!

XDm 9mm was $585 for black $635 for bi-tone if I remember correctly. I think there is one M left not sure of the finish.

Do they make it in a sub compact?
The M only comes in a 4.5" barrel. A compact XD is just an XD 9, 40, or 45. Subcompacts are just XD 9 or 40's with their respective size IIRC

I hope they come out with an XDm sub compact..I really like the feel of the XDm,but its a tad big for carry.

I doubt youll see a m in compact.
The gun was purpose built for other things, accuracy yada yada
Im understanding the design was primarily for stock competition which I believe it will do well in

You may however see some design ques on the next gen XD's that are derived from the M

You could carry it with a crossbreed holster.

I am looking at Kahr myself. I would go with the 9mm for that size though. I shot the 40 and was not too happy with it.

Lino, you can carry full size 1911's with the crossbreed holsters, not much of a difference when you look at it that way.

I think only when you are comparing it to a Rohrbaugh R9 9mm. (Or happen to be a NRA instructor)

Damn, that is cheap. Kahr's normally go in the 7-800 range. Out of stock also, the new prices will not be that with the idiot mad rush due to Obama fear factor. Its also cheaper because it does not have a blued slide. I'd rather not have someone notice something shining in my pocket.
