View Full Version : Pop's Dean Shoot
OK, I know a few of you have expressed interest in going. Florida Shooters Network is another forum I belong to and they have set up a shoot there on Jan 4. The price is $20 per member and will include a barbeque cookout. I think this might be a good chance for some of you to experience the range and get to meet some fellow hard core shooters. It's probably too late for me to order some tannerite, but I'm bringing all my toys that like to be shot faster than 1-2 seconds per shot. Post here if you are interested in going.

is this a day when we can shoot full auto? jan 4th
Full auto if you got it is absolutely welcome there. In fact, I'd say half of the folks that show up have full auto of all sorts of calibers. I got to shoot a G3 SBR the last time I attended which prompted me to buy the Vector V51.

Count me in then, I need to break my new toy in. Now my only problem is finding about 50lbs of 223 before that day. Any local suggestions?
I think as far as .223, all the cheap stuff at Rich's is near delpeted. You might find some $8 boxes of PMC and maybe a half case of Winchesters @ $9 each.

Stone Hart is the name , $38 per 100 for .223
I get new .223 for $7.95 for 20 right now. For $2.00 more its worth it to me.

Are we still on for Sundays shoot? I can cover a few 12 packs of Coke & Ice.
If you are a registered member of Florida Shooters Network, then go to this thread to give your headcount. Or we need a final count here and have either Spikes, Ira or myself post it over there. I doubt I'll be able to do it, as I'm leaving for an event tonight, but I plan to be there at around 10:00 am ish.

you rode???
Yep, went all over last night. Top speed of the night 154 on GPS.
I got there at 10 and stayed till about 3:30. I think the turnout was a little lighter than last year with maybe 40 or so shooters. There were at least 6 kids there and the range rules were pretty strict on how they were to shoot. I used up the two remaining jars of tannerite that I had. A couple other shooters brought tannerite as well and rigged up a kitchen sink, a christmas present filled with plastic ornaments, an ice maker, and an empty 1/2 keg. Glad I brought my 700. My favorite AR is still the 9mm I have. It was great for plinking as well, as I had brought a box of hi vis yell golf balls to shoot at. It's the real man's golf game! I also got to shoot the .45 project gun I have and it is definitely a keeper. I've decided tho to send it off to Novak to have the dovetails milled, then to have the gun replated. Several full autos and one Barrett M82 present. Had burgers, dogs, sausages, chips, etc. Good time.
I should have gone instead of going to the Dolphins game and watch them lay an egg...

exactly
I didn't bring my camera, as I had a ton of stuff to bring and didn't want to lose track of a camera. Funny, my stuff is right in front of the 3rd picture, but apparently I had walked away.
