Decided to take Girl to the range today. First she warmed up with the Beretta Tomcat .32 then moved on to the Springfield Armory XD 9mm. I was a bit worried at first so worked with one round each time then moved on to 3 round, finally progressing to full magazines. She is a natural and is making me very proud. She is a little stuck in her ways leaning back while shooting just like her mom. I am working on breaking her of that but she has a good hang of it now and had lots of fun doing it. Enjoy the pics and a few vids. Sorry, she isn't allowed to shoot a glock, I am instilling her with some taste. :bolt:

I can barely afford it for myself. I have been waiting to do this for a while now, being on vacation finally gave me a chance to go.

Almost had her close to using the 12-gauge as well, now that would have been awesome. Either way she did an excellent job, definitely no fear in Girl.

how old is your kid? how old do they have to be to go to the range?

Cris

She is 11. From what I have seen I have seen kids a little bit younger in the ranges. You do need to sign a waiver as a parent/guardian. I would use your own judgment as to bringing your child into a range. Based on age and maturity. I felt Girl was ready to go and she by far exceeded my expectations of her first time shooting.

my kid is about to turn 12.. I am a little apprehensive to take him out to the range with a semi auto.. he is very carefull and responsible.. but it does not feel right (in my gut)... plus my wife would FREAK out :bolt:

usually at the range the kids just have to be with a parent or guardian, each place will have different minimum ages.

Thats at Arizona gun range. Yes, check with the ranges. I only knew they were OK because I saw younger kids there before.
