I went ahead and ordered a stock from cabelas to replace the custom stock that my 10/22 had. I'm not really into the custom target stocks so I went with the BLACKHAWK AXIOM 10/22 STOCK. I like the Idea of a free floating barrel and it also has a badass ar 15 looking collapsable butt. It should be here on Thursday. More posts to come once it arrives.

I definitely don't like that original stock. I think those things are so ugly. Always looks better with a nice synthetic stock.

I have to admit the target stock feels nice on a bench at the range but it's design is'nt apealing to me. I dont know bout you guys but when I go squirel hunting a lighter synthetic stock with a bipod is the way to go. Plus it's tacticool :fu:

I haven't squirrel hunted in years. I like the feel, weight and look of synthetics myself.

Tacticool....new word for the personal dictinonary. Thanks.

A look at the new stock. I have more pics but I can't upload them right now do to my computor being a p.o.s.. It was a simple installation. Added a new bipod and sling. Overall im pleased with the look and functionality. I will be keeping the original stock because I cant see this stock lasting for more than a few years (it's plastic) and I have to admit the original is starting to grow on me. I will be posting more photos once I get this damn thing to work.

It does look a LOT better than I expected. Very good looking rifle you got there.

(Still like the other one better though ;))

Interesting stock with the AR "like" components. Does the buttstock adjust? If it does, I wonder if it is the same spec as either the commercial tube or milspec. It certainly opens the door with other upgradable parts.

The buttstock does adjust to 6 psotitions and is interchangable. From What I have read the tube is a bit smaller than spec so aftermarket buttstocks will be a little wobbly.
