View Full Version : Bass Pro Shops
Let me just say I think I am done shopping at this place. From a certain associate behind the gun counter named Bob being a complete douche bag. Trying to belittle and school Phil and I on weapons purchases when his own fucking people can't do their fucking job right.
I have been in the retail business for many years and never have I seen such a lack of respect for the customer. Yeah retail business has its pressures if you can't handle it get the fuck out.
By the way Phil, you are welcome for the complimentary gun case.
LOL, I'm bringing that case to Guntech. Maybe they can get some use out of it.
I will be doing the same.
I also submitted a complaint to Bass Pro Shops online. I sat there and thought about this for a very long time last night. My new unfavorite place to shop Ass Pro Shops. (no that isn't a typo)
Did you pick up the rifle? At least little miss redneck was cute and nice.
:raspberry:
Yeah she was nice, I made sure they knew it was just the one guy Bob. They have replied to me a few times already. It is now submitted to the Retail Administration.

Bass Pro Shop = pure garbage.
they have good fishing gear and supplies...
I've never been a big fan of Bass Pro. They've got a good selection of boots...that's about it IMO.
Chuck, one of the guys at the range, is a really good guy. He's the president of the private gun club on Sterling. He invited us out there one weekend. We had a blast, but things have been crazy ever since, and we never had a chance to go back.
Then they try to scumbag me out of my free gun case. Not happening.

what i find funny about bass pro is that the gun guys are dicks but the fishing counter guys are extremly helpful and friendly .. They have never failed me when I had questions or needed help with something, yet they coworkers look at my like I am a tard for wanting to see one of their firearms.. by the way I was there sunday night and No 9MM or .45 on their rack at all ..
They had a few boxes of Blazer .45 brass on the shelf around noon on Sunday. Didn't last long I guess.
Yeah, they didn't have it yesterday. Just hunting and skeet rounds, plus .22.

i wasnt even aware they carried blazer brass! Are their prices comparable to that at walmart?
As for their .22, their prices are higher than walmart. You are paying more for less.
As for the fishing section, i have absolutely no qualms with those guys. Extremely helpful and friendly. Seems like in the business of firearm retail, its VERY hard to avoid ego's.

I'm sure it's an example of getting whatever is out there with the distributors.
Unless Walmart strong armed to get the only 550 count boxes. Just like Home Depot does with a lot of its items.

this is why i know exactly what i want before entering these places. like going to best buy, do you really expect the sales guy to know what he's talking about?
do your research on line and talk to the real experts.
I do believe we knew exactly what we wanted before we walked in.

haha...i'm sure you did.
how did you get into a pissing match with the sales rep? assuming that's what happened.
There were a few inconsistencies in their reaction to honoring a raincheck that they issued back in December, but it was more about this one guy's attitude than anything else.
I was at the Bass Pro Shop as mentioned on another thread.. purchased an item that was marked at $37.00 on display that rang up at $14.00 on the counter.. love that... :)
but while looking for shotgun shells, some guy and his mother were also looking at ammo.. he dropped a case of shells that scattered on the floor and the guy behind the counter looked straight at the guy and did the ( DEE DEE DEE sound like calos mencia) ...if he would have done it to me, I would have had some words for him.. so I guess you guys have a point about these guys in weapons dept.. must be cause guns is the devil and they make people evil :fu:
on another note the guy who helped me with my fishing glasses purchase was the nicest most professional customer service rep I have encountered in a while..

yh he's not bad and even knowing i was kind of a pain probably as I tried out all the guns and visited multiple times he never got "grumpy" as some sales people tend to do if your just looking
Yeah you get those people from time to time. We have people at Guntech who will spend hours upon hours there and still walk out with nothing.

Once Musa meets Alan, he more than glady give up his man card. Wait till he meets him, then the cat will be out of the bag.
