Hey Chris this was the knife I was telling you about! A buddy of man in Pittsburg owed me a favor so he's sending me one for free. I think the knife is just awesome, once it comes in I'll have to bring it by the shop so you can play with it.
I saw that one in person, I was not a fan of it. If its free though, you can't pass that up. Bring it by I will definitely check it out again.

Friends are good for something! You can't go wrong with free. The thing that got me was the ambi belt clip. I'm not sure if SOG does this with all there knives, but the ambi clip is in some ways essential in my way of thinking.
I never look for ambi since I am right handed. I only look for ambi mag releases on guns.

Well I'm not to shaby with my left and I've been trying to perfect that bad boy. I've always been in search of a good lefty knife, but after a situation in Cali it reassured me as to why.
There was a Deputy for one of the many counties in Cali who made a traffic stop, the car was occupied by one male driver, and three female passengers. The Deputy got the driver out of the car and while they were talking the driver made for his sidearm and a fight ensued. They struggled and rolle don the floor for a bit and the officer obviously could reach for anything on the right side of his utility belt so he reached for an ambi knife on his left side and did his duty to the perp. End result: Deputy lives perp injured but survives and goes to jail.
In that scenario if you can't really access your right side for obvious reason and your knife is located on the right what would you do, besides the obvious rolling around and trying to manipulate the situation to your advantage while trying to maintain your weapon?

Glad I could be of assistance!
Good point but two knives seems a little redundant when maybe there's a way to place your knife in a more central location. Maybe Wade can chime in. I think this is a good reason to consider that surfire pen, as you can clip it to your shirt without much unwanted attention.

Well I'm only doing the two knife thing because it's free. With the emerson I have I could always have them slap the belp clip on the other side when I send it out to get sharpened. More than likely I'll still do that and just have two ambi knives. I've played around with the centralization idea befor but still haven't came to much of a concluscion.
When you look at the likelyhood of injury to your dominant hand being able to manipulate a weapon of any sort with the weak hand is a great plus side to a potentially shitty situation.
