anyone have one mounted on there AR15? got pics..
I have only seen them in pics, haven't seen one in person yet.

I've thought about mounting one on my AR then quickly after asked myself WHY? To date I still haven't found an answer to my question.

Aw, come on! Don't you understand how vital it is to have a bayonet lug on your evil assault rifle! They banned them for 10 years for Jeebus sakes!
Back when Guntech was running out of the "back room", he had a couple of GI surplus bayonets with the spring catch that locked them in place. I couldn't recall exactly what it was but maybe because of the civilian requirement for at least a 16" barrel plus a 1 1/2" birdcage flash hider vs. the M4's 14.5" barrel + 1 1/2" flash hider, they didn't really seem to look right on them.
IIRC, with both middie and rifle length gas tube and handguards, the front sight base to end of muzzle is about the same as a mil spec M4.

I have the lug... just want to see if someone here has one mounted.. you know just for research purposes.. not that I would go out and buy one the next day :)

Yeah it was just my sarcasm regarding the huge :jerkit: popularity of bayonets that forced them to ban the lugs.

My Ar doesn't even have the lug. Guy who had it years back removed the lug and put an additional sling adaptor which I have since removed.

no need to mount a knife on a gun that is accurate to 600 meters.....no trench warfare for me

I got one for my pre-ban AK but I installed a Kalashnikov comp and I think I gave my factory slanted comp to a friend. I think I will now need to find one.
