LOL, I love the mag coupler on there. Are you going to be using this in tactical situations where you will need a quick reload Adam?

It looks great!!!

What are you going to do for an optic?

Cris

By the way, I like your purty candles.

i am secure enough with my self to have some candles!

On the optics front... IDK what do you recommend... I am thinking a decent red dot as I will not need distance with this optic since the gun is being SBR'd... would like to keep it under 100.00 if i can as the host was relativly inexpensive

I know Chris put some knock off on his that was well below $100 maybe even under $50. It was very nice for the price, the only thing I didn't like was how high he mounted it.

I put a Eotech knock off on my AK and it works pretty good. Its a knock off the the Eotech 552 made by a company named G&P. My only complaint is that in real bright sun you can not make the rectile bright enough and it washes out some. At 25 yards its not an issue but at 50 yards it gets tough to see. it was around $60.00 shipped.

dan, how well does it hold a zero?

It appears to be decent. Once sighted in at 25 yards I had pretty decent grouping for an AK with cheap ass ammo. The only issues I had was the washing out of the rectile in bright light and one time the thumb screw that fastened it to the rail loosened up and the sight moved around a little.

I have it mounted to a UTG rail on my AK. I have attached a pic so you can see what it looks like.

No problem. Not bad for around $60.00 shipped. Found it on ebay after a friend of mine recommended it to me.

nice snow globes Dan :raspberry: by the way what brand of AK is that?

My wife and her damn snow globe collection....I knew someone would catch that.

The AK is a Century Arms GP1975, purchased from Guntech. Nothing special, just a Romanian stamped receiver. I added the ATI folding/collapsible stock, UTG quad rail, cheapo forward grip/bipod, muzzle brake, and Eotech 552 knock off.

I figure when I get an AR I will throw some good, high end parts at that. Cheapo seems to work well for the AK so far.

Spikes, is that a Dell D620 and the hip case for a Samsung Instinct I see on your desk?

Dan, your AK looks like the lovechild of an AK-47 and AR-15. Never seen such an industrial and modern looking AK-v. =)

Thanks guys. Its my first attempt. Again mostly all done with cheap stuff except the stock from Guntech and the rail that I got online. I like it. Its a blast to fire.

I'd recommend one of the small reflex red dot sights. They're super lightweight and give you the same feel of an EOTech sight picture.

Here's one from Burris (http://www.opticsplanet.net/burris-fastfire-w-picatinny-mount-4-moa-dot-mat-fastfire-sight.html), but it's a bit more expensive than what you were looking to spend. Half the price of the Trijicon version though...
