Just watching this show and they are pitting the Green Beret vs the Spetsnaz

The Green Beret's M67 grenade beat out the Spetsnaz RGD5.

Somehow the Spetsnaz knife beat out the serated and sharp as a knife entranching tool in close combat. Don't understand they picked it but really only because you could shoot the knife. But I consider it this way in close combat the shovel has much better reach. Second if they shoot their knife they are done for if they miss and it aint easy hitting a moving target and the knife is pretty small. (don't know why they didn't include a knife carried by the Green Berets as I assume they would carry one)

The AK74 and M4A1 was a draw. Now I would give the edge to the M4A1 cus is more accurate and that is crucial in combat. But they didn't even touch that aspect nor the bullet size etc where the AK gets the edge. I would still give it to the M4A1 personally.(swear I'm not biased lol)

Last was the Makarov pistol vs the Beretta which they had them do under night shoots. Green Beret shot 5 seconds less but did not shoot very accurately (just rushed it too much cus he wanted to run). Given to the Makarov.

Almost foget they also tested the M24 sniper rifle for the Green Berets vs the Dragonov from the Spetsnaz. The M24 was way more accurate and the Green Beret put the bullet in every target right between the eyes with no exceptions. Spetsnaz could not do that with their sniper rifle, but were on target. Given to the M24

Also almost forgot the Saiga and Mossberg shotguns. Edge went to the Saiga because it was semi-automatic.

Overall results when 1000 battles were simulated the Green Beret won 481 and the Spetsnaz won 519. This is obviously just with the stats they gathered during just this test. They did state this was one of the closest they had and that although the results showed a Spetsnaz win, it was too close to really call Spetnaz clear winners and would rather be a very good close fight.

Think that is crap, Green Berets would own their ass, but then again that just might be my patriotism lol. So who do you guys think would win and/or opinions of the competitions between weapons tested?

Yh i got a little frustrated as they seem to miss a lot of things for some weapons. The knife got me frustrated, which a great tool was very small and the shooting it is great and everything but he is going to need to be extremely accurate or else he is completely fucked. While the entrenching tool isn't necessarily a weapon it can be used as one with it's sharp edge and the serrated edge and deal a lot of damage as was shown and has a lot better reach than the knife. There was just very little rationale and they ended up just letting a doctor pick the best of the two. Also their main weapons would be the M4A1 and the AK74 but they spend the least amount of time on those weapons and just named it a draw. You would think they would spend the most time on the primary weapon not the least.

Lastly the Green Beret shooting the the Beretta just did not perform well. You can't limit the testing to just one guy during a test. While I admit also that the Russian special forces are tough shits their training heavily involves ignoring pain and just being strong etc. Green Berets in my opinion are more trained tactically, although I could be wrong, and that is a huge aspect in battle.

Also didn't a new shotgun get developed a year or two ago for the military that is even shoots in full auto? I had seen it on the military channel.

Sorry that show kind of annoyed me last night as I don't feel they truly dove into the capabilities of both warriors. They're test and research seemed to be half assed
