Looks like some nice terrain.
Hell yeah it does. I need to get a set of bags for my BMW so I can go on rides like that.

Oh shit! Now I know why it looks familiar. Helen Fucking Georgia. I've been there a million times. Use to spend my summers in Hiawassee all the time.
I saw a lot of familiar sites in your pics. Very nice up there and the people are very friendly for sure.

yeah the Helen to Hiawassee road was great too... I want to live there now!!!
getting ready for this trip again, sometime in May... :hyper:
Step 1: get a trailer to take 4 bikes
Last year a buddy from a moto website loaned me his 5X14 trailer, this year we are going at almost the same time so I had to find one for me and my friends...
you would be surprised how quickly these used trailers sell.. I had 3 sell right out from under me..I even drove to someones house in Vero Beach and they sold it to someone who arrived minutes before me ( knowing I was coming for it) :jerkit:
So I will be able to sell this for what I paid :)
7 x 12 Heavy Duty with 15" wheels

Nice!
Still desperately want the Honda VTX 1300!
my buddy (the one with the FJR1300) has one he loves, but he has BMW fever now, and could be persuaded to let it go to fund his new toy.. just let me know.. I just asked him and $6000.00 is his magic number
i cant wait to get back to the dragon.... soon... very soon.... may 2010.
that trailer looks pretty good!

dragon is good to do once a day.. but then there are far better road like the Cherahola (spelling)
or even Blood Mountain in GA route 60 towards Suches
test loaded the trailer today.. the VTX1800 is a BIG BEAST..

not looking good
not looking good
I bet ...
but like I told you.. we will make room for your bike on the trailer.. so Id say for $300.00 you are all in... around $100.00/day for transport/fuel/room/food/beer.. even a souvenir from the moto trip of your life..
you could leave with us Thursday night late, ride in Georgia Friday 21-Sunday 23.. and ride back on the 23rd, be home by Monday 24... its a 12 hour non stop ride.. so you ride 6 hours Sunday.. take a break, 6 hours Monday your back by lunch.. take a slower pace and you are back by dinner..only 2 days off of work.. 4 days away from home..
just think of all the stories youll have when you get home :raspberry:
but you got to piss or get off the pot..
