I heard people are already sleeping outside of the War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale, for this weekend's show. Can anyone confirm this???
On a serious note, if any dealers do have any ammo to sell, do you think they will be price gouging???

I went to the last Suncoast show at the War Memorial. It was a total cluster F*&K. The A-Holes there selling ammo were trying to retire on one sale. The prices of everything were higher then anywhere I have looked. The people that attended were all A-Holes too. Pushing and shoving like they were going to miss some great deal. That show sucks, bottom line.
If you want a decent show to attend, go to the one in WPB in July. I have been to the WPB show like 3 or 4 times and its a different world then the Ft Lauderdale show. The one in WPB is put on by a different company, the admission is less, you dont have to pay to park like in FT Lauderdale, and the people are not nearly as stupid.
I may go to the Suncoast show on Saturday just to see if I can find some panic struck ass hat to buy my P22 for some good $$$. All I have to do is say Obama is going to take away their right to buy a gun and I will get a mint for that thing...LOL.
I promise you if you dont like stupid people huddled together in a massive crowd and TOTAL jack ass dealers gouging the hell out of everything on their table, dont waste your time with the Suncoast show. I walked out of that place wanting to punch everyone in there in the face.
Oh yeah, 7.62x39.....dealers there were asking $12/box for wolf (20rds). I am not making that up. .45acp was over $.50/rd no matter who you spoke to. F them all!!
There is my mini Jax rant...LOL

I am well aware of the Suncoast Circus, I mean gun show. I use to go before our world turned into "they are going to take our guns away". But I was never crazy about paying $ 14.00 before I even made it in the front door. The show is loaded with circus freaks, and the dealers think that they are giving you a good deal! LOL! Thanks for the same insight as I had :-)
Actually I believe all the Dade, Broward and West Palm Beach shows are run by suncoast. The place is a joke, within 5 minutes of being there you just want to punch someone in the face.

It must have been years since my last visit to that gun sho. Did you $14.00? Last time I went it was like $5 or $7 to get in!

Probably includes the additional $5 parking fee. Of the 3, Ft. Lauderdale is the worst. When WPB and/or Miami schedules theirs on the same weekend, both of the shows suck as the vendors have to pick and choose. Not a big fan of gun shows anyway.

Good thing I stopped going to those damn things then. I had no idea it got that bad, shit! Gun shows are bs anyway so those who have never been you're not missing much.

That's for sure. That's why I stopped going to these shows years ago.

It has been years since you could find deals at the majority of tables, they mostly suck now, I havent been to one in over a year and that last one was with a friend who insisted i go with him. Way to many rude and inconsiderate people pushing at the tables, few good deals and just not fun any more .. shame too as I use to look forward to them..

Anything that has a "panic" surrounding it will be gouged at a gun show. Currently it is pointless to go if you are looking for a "deal" on ammo or AR's. The best you can make out on is if you want to find a pistol for a decent price and get it local. And if you do that, please be aware the first price they give you isn't the price you should settle for. Here's my rules for the gun show - same basic principles apply to cars:
1) "Show price" is not the final price
2) There could be freebies available to attract your business
3) The largest shop at the show will undercut all others at the show
4) Don't mention trade until after you've made a deal
5) Discuss trade-in value with a different person and never accept 80% book value (standard offer by dealers)
Polish your haggling skills and know the details of the pistol you want, and the book values of your possible trade-in. And remember that a deal is harder to make on a pistol they only have 1 of in-stock. It's much easier if they have 3 or more of the same pistol you want.

You are dead on. IF you want the deal you have to make it. I have walked away from some tables because the person wouldnt come to my price point. Cash is king. Remember, the less they have to pack up the better. I hammer everyone at the gun shows.

it still isnt worth the crowds, the turds, the gangsta wanna be's , the arrogant cock holes behind the counters .. then again it is just my opinion .. in the past 2-3 years i have done much better online getting the things I want with out having to deal with the shows.

I agree. I notice that more and more shitbags are going to the shows. I guess buying/stealing guns on the street is becoming more difficult.
